Lapwing Cottage is a quality barn conversion in the heart of the peaceful Eden Valley. With its own private entrance and garden, our one-bedroom self-catering cottage is ideal for couples wanting a quiet, relaxing break, and offers comfortable, characterful and tasteful accommodation in a rural setting. Featuring a cosy log-burner for chillier nights, there is an open-plan sitting / dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. A spacious bathroom with underfloor heating includes a walk-in shower, and the bedroom features a posturepedic double bed. Outside patio area provides ample sitting space, and a shed for storing bicycles. There is off-road parking room for 2 cars.

We visited Lapwing Cottage at the open day and were so impressed by this beautiful newly refurbished cottage. Michael and Katharine have done an amazing job transforming the property. It has been finished to a very high standard, while still retaining plenty of charm and character. The attention to detail is fantastic, and you can really see the care and thought that has gone into the refurbishment. There are wonderful views across to the Pennines, making it a truly special location. It was lovely to see the cottage and appreciate all the hard work that Michael and Katharine have put into creating such a beautiful place. We wish them every success with Lapwing Cottage and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful stay in the Eden Valley.

We were fortunate enough to be invited to the opening of Lapwing Cottage and instantly fell in love with it. We’ve stayed in many holiday cottages and have to say that it definitely ranks as one of the very best we’ve ever seen! It is clear that every feature has been chosen with care and attention to detail, with comfort, convenience and luxury in mind. The location is idyllic and ideally situated for visits to the nearby Lakes. Anyone who stays there will be extremely lucky.

Situated in a peaceful hamlet it will allow a peaceful, quiet, relaxing stay with great views of the Pennines.
