A highly experienced, well-qualified and dedicated teacher, Katharine May has enjoyed teaching the piano and harpsichord to all ages and abilities for over 25 years. From 2005- 2014 she wrote Teaching Notes on the new ABRSM syllabuses (Grade 1-6) and many other educational articles for Music Teacher magazine, and her pupils have a 100% pass rate with ABRSM exams. A graduate of the Royal College of Music, where she also took her ARCM Teaching Diploma and where her former teachers included Ruth Gerald (piano) and Ruth Dyson (harpsichord), she has since inspired and encouraged generations of students to achieve their goals and realise their potential.
